The enclosures to the Government's letter been read with interest especially Enclosure 2, the Kinute of the Conference held at Shanghai on 24th Aprile 1924. Messrs. The Chamber, therefore, has little to add the letter it addressed to the Government on the 7th September, 1921, except te urge, once more, the import: of ensuring that any legislation which may be enacted not penalise British shipping in relation to Foreign

competitors.

It is hoped that there is no need to furti emphasize the necessity for any legislation that is enacted making permissible the employment of Chinese wireless operators. It would appear impracticable to
